are you guys familiar with names like Sugimoto, Ambarchi, Dafeldecker, Noetinger???
Yes, I've been listening to a ton of this kind of stuff recently. I've already accounted for the Sugimoto, but the Noetinger/Erik M CD on Erstwhile is terrific, but also the Noetinger/Marchetti/Voice Crack CD on Grob called "Double Wash" is also excellent. Two of my favorites of the year have been Ambarchi's duo with keith Rowe on Staubgold called "Flypaper" and his Audiosphere release with Gunter Muller and Voice Crack called "Oystered." I've been listening to a fair bit of Dafeldecker as well--mainly the Absinth CD with Tilbury, Hautzinger, and Sachiko M--also on Grob, and the green and orange releases on Charhizma. The green one is the most recent and has Dafeldecker in combination with Kurzmann, Drumm, Erik M, Dieb 13, and Noetinger. This one has been getting a lot of play recently.
