in the US, you only pay tax if you buy in person or in-state. any purchases shipped outside the state the store is in are tax-exempt, to my knowledge. at least that's what i seem to remember from my retail music days. sean I agree there is a tax to be paid. But in the US there must also be a tax, right? Anyway, a 18% tax on the (lets suppose) 12 dollars wholesale price, makes it 14.16 dollars. Postage per CD must be insignificant for large quantities. There is absolutely no excuse...
