I'm looking for some interesting female vocalists for a singing friend of
mine, for the moment I'm looking more in the 'interesting pop' vein (Bjork,
Laurie Anderson) than moving into really experimental or modern classical
stuff. Any recommendations? Any recommendations for PJ Harvey albums?

Maybe not as "out there" as Bjork and Laurie Anderson, but I still think you can't go far wrong with Annie Lennox's first solo CD, Diva.
