hi folks websearches havent been able to answer this for me and ive been deleting many emails, so unsure if covered here before... i have an imac when duping a cd, in terms of "highest-end" audio quality, is it preferable to import using .wav or aiff?
Since you're using a mac, I'll point out that as of iTunes 4.6, there's a third option: "Apple Lossless": http://www.apple.com/itunes/import.html ...which is essentially a like a WAV or an AIFF but with about half the file size. It is a lossless compression format like Shorten or FLAC, so the music you hear out of iTunes (or when duping a CD) will be identical to the original CD. ~jeff
