Hi, As someone said before, Spring Heel Jack are two British guys much in the drum'n'bass field. In previous outings they have collaborated with people from Sonic Youth and William Burroughs (maybe just sampling him, can't remember). I can just second the recommendation of "Masses" as one of the most surprising recent albums. Talking about d'n'b wouldn't be too orientative in this case, because the lack of rythym is a constant throughout the album. It's mainly about atmospheres and the contrast with the "downtown" improvisers sounds just great. Not jazz, not electronics, or anything I could put a label on. One of my fave Shipp albums is also "Pastoral Composure" far from his usual ecstatic thing and more in the melodic tradition. Great originals and a fine solo cover of "Prelude to a Kiss". And Roy Campbell is just great here. Best, Efrén del Valle _______________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Messenger Nueva versión: Webcam, voz, y mucho más ¡Gratis!
