When Elvis died, they asked John Lennon what he thought about it. "Elvis died when he went into the Army," Lennon said. Sam Phillips of Sun Studio said, "If I could find a white boy who could sing like that, I could make a million dollars." Elvis, through some mojo and a deal made at the crossroads, translated "that" for white audiences. Eminem is an impressive rhymer with emotionally potent content.
