In my own experience, I've found that his biggest sellers are also the ones that I keep coming back to: Purple Rain, 1999, Sign O' The Times. Emancipation is a fine one too, which is interesting because that and 1999 and Times were all multi-album/CD sets. The man knows how to do excess well I guess. Though I haven't listened to them in a while, I remember that Dirty Mind and Parade were impressive records too. I know he likes to stick to playing with his own groups like the Revolution and New Power Generation. Shame that he doesn't jam with any Zorn people.
