just came by to recommend a record which i'm really crazy about these days - Colleen "Everybody alive wants answers". sheer beauty.

her approach is much like Jim Thirlwell's - sampling from all over the place - mostly non-western folk music (whereas Thrilwell samples classical, jazz, soundtrack and bigband music).

the outcome is fantastic! anybody who has the chance should go see her live - it's all done with real instruments (also similar to Thirlwell's Manorexia/Steroid Maximus projects).
