i asked mick about it...he was surprised that the news got out this fast as, as i noted, it is not much past a preliminary stage of planning. he's waiting for some free time with shane to start getting into the feel behind the kit again. i don't know that he's played too much since the last painkiller gig in new york (what was that - 1998, 1999?...whenever tonic first opened). he was much more into the electronic thing in total for the last few years...a couple of people as well as myself have been trying to talk him into playing again for a while. i'm glad someone finally got it together. we'll see...i'll have more info on his site when things are a little more concrete. don't know what's going on with the tzadik album...mick hasn't been to nyc since that was planned... Where did you hear about this?? It looks extremely cool!!
When was the last time Mick Harris played drums?? I remember some years ago he mentioned that Zorn wanted him to record a duo with some organ player for Tzadik. Sounds pretty interesting, but I never heard about it later.

yeah...all this is apparently in a somewhat preliminary stage, though a little more advanced than just talk. possibly a japanese and us tour and record if all works out...supposedly there are some tunes written by sharp with this project in mind...if this can get mick behind a kit again that would be great.

Speaking of Sharp, word is that he will do vocals in a grindcore super-project, which will feature Shane Embury on bass, Mick Harris on drums and, possibly, Buzz Osborne on guitar.
