Hello, ....I especially love Drake's playing on "Live at the Empty Bottle" w/ Brotzmann and Kent Kessler. I have a videotape where Brotz plays w/ Graves and William Parker, and it's great hear the different approaches that each drummer has in union w/ Brotzmann (the same goes for the bassists). Both are, of course, outstanding. Regarding Fugazi's Brendan Canty, I'd also include the Rites of Spring CD. While his playing isn't as assured as it would be later, it's still plenty powerful. Regarding, the Minutemen, yes indeed "Double Nickels" is incredible. Everything that I've heard by the band is pretty much indispensable, IMHO. On the "Ballot Results" CD, George Hurley gives one of the best rock drum solos that I've heard on the live version of "Mr. Robot's Holy Orders". I remain...
