Hi All,
Well, I know it may seem bad timing to
put on a show named "Sounds French", but after all, it
is only about music and visuals. Those of you who enjoyed the Tzadik release
of Cellule 75, a piece by Luc Ferrari featuring William Winant, may still
want to enjoy seeing them perform this coming week-end. See announcement
below for more info.

Next weekend, ELectron SAlon is extending the boundaries of music
and visuals with Luc Ferrari, touring from the month-long
festival "Sounds French" in NYC, to play his musical field recordings.
This great unsung pioneer of Musique Concrete will first present a sound
journey through the U.S., based on Ambient Sounds he recorded in
his travels through the West. The second set features a performance mixing
from his compositional archive where he will be joined by DJ Olive,
also known as the Audio Janitor from East Village underground digital lab,
percussionist William Winant and visual artists Warren Stringer
and Sue Costabile. Sponsored by the cultural services
of the French Embassy and by the French-American Cultural Foundation.
Sat. 3/15, 8PM: at the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz
Mon. 3/17, 8PM: at the Wheeler Auditorium in UC Berkeley
