the label is basically defunct, but when i was working retail a few years back, i somehow got in touch with John Storm Roberts, the label head. he still had stock of some titles at that point, although many were out of print. They specialize(d) in African music. In particular I am looking for a compilation titled "African Elegant" that had Kru/Krio Sierra Leonian calypso-type music. If the label or disc are long gone and anyone has a copy they are willing to copy/part with, that would be great too. Oh, and New Yorkers, I hope you all check out the Trevor Wilkins show at least occasionally, it's all calypso saturday and sunday nights on one of the public stations, i forget which one.
