I expect to be very unimpressed by KC at "the worst festival in the whole of Europe", i.e. North Sea Jazz, their latest albums aren't *that* interesting, but who knows. Why do they show up at a jazzfestival anyway? THRaKattaKing for sixty minutes? Naked City on the other hand *was* very impressive - but then it was my first exposure to JZ live, saw the other guys in other settings over the last few years (Frith only a few months ago here in Rotterdam, on electric guitar and sundry implements). Was expecting (oh, those expectations!) a lot more emphasis on NC material though (Leng tch'e sure would've been nice), but certainly didn't mind a sort of 'greatest hits' show.
