As a fellow New Yorker, the word from our Mayor is that, since they can't estimate the number of policemen they'd need and we're in a "code orange" state, they can't permit the march. Since when does assembly and peaceful marching require a work order for the police coverage that might be needed? Can there be a more obvious connection between supressed protest and implied police state? philz
