We survived it! But seeing is believing... I won't go into details; people are seeing them tonight in Warsaw, and I wouldn't like to pre-describe it for them! Briefly, it was NC in decent form, the repertoire was a bit "greatest hits" and contained torture garden/soundtrack/etc pieces; no real surprises except for a cheesy jazz piece halfway through the show which i didn't recognize. Highlight (for me) was "the vault" during the encore, written when F. Bacon died, the only painter who didnt like Vermeer (JZ's words- here's the Vermeer connection!). Mike "1000 voices" Patton stole the show. Amazing throat. FF's pounding bass and WH keyboards sounded the best, filling up the large room. Very clear sound too. JZ gave a public interview before the concert, no real surprises there. He commented on the piece premiered last week "hermeticum sacrum" which he related again to Crowley as it is very religious in a way. He said he spent 9 months working on the instrumentation (harp, 12 vocalists, 5 percussion/sound players, 2 organs if i recall correctly). He also described how he made his "computer music" pices: simply by manipulating and deconstructing boring demos that were sent to him! off for holidays, see you at elctric masada on July 13th! manolis
