I attended a film festival last weekend and saw the film mentioned in the subject line and was deeply impressed and moved by it. It's about a village of scavenging families in the Phillippines who live next to the reknowned "Smoky Mountain," a huge garbage dump filling large valley. It's a film that's worth having in one's collection and to that effect, I tried to find a video copy online to no avail. Does anyone know if such a film might be available for purchase?
Can't answer that one directly, but you can buy his previous movie, "Scavengers: Forgotten Children" right here, it seems: http://www1.jca.apc.org/videoact/FU2.html And the official website is here, I think: http://www4.justnet.ne.jp/~offifour/ Can't read Japanese, so I don't know what it says -- and most likely whatever video you'll get would be in PAL format...
