Love Cry Want holds up much better.
As a matter of interest, does anyone know who exactly the guitarist Nicholas is? Clearly he was something to do with the actual release of the disk in 1997 so he is still around but remains a mystery.
Maybe he's a member of this list?
There was an interview with Joe Gallivan in the Wire some years back, which is where I first heard of the Love Cry Want disc. Maybe I can track that issue down. Nicholas does some simply astounding stuff on the disc, definitely up there with Pete Cosey and Sonny Sharrock.
