I recently created a piece of music employing a radio transmitter as a filter for microphone, synthesizer, and saxophone. I found it to be a unique form of distortion. I recorded directly to my hard drive and pieced it all together in Acid. I mastered it as a wav file (I believe at 24 bits) and then burned it to a CD. On the wav version the static and bits of radio broadcasts that came through are much quieter than the music. However on the CD version all I hear is static, no music whatsoever. I tried the CD on my computer speakers (which I used to monitor the recording) and on a shelf system. So what happened when I put it on the CD? Is it a product of the conversion? Thanks in advance.
