I love the Internet. You can stumble upon the most wonderful and unexpected things. Like this, for instance, from an interview that appeared in Forced Exposure #15... *** DIAMANDA GALAS: Yeah. I'm not interested in developing a lexicon of vocal sounds for the 80s or 90s. My work really comes more from Ayler and Ornette and Coltrane. Meditations is a beautiful record.
