I got more than 3 thousand discs, including boxes, and ran out long time ago of shelves space, so now i am putting them in almost every corner of my rented aparment. And, needless to add, that if i was able to cut down the number of new discs i would probably be able to pay the first payment for a new apartment, but i'm still trying to cut down the number of new discs that i'm buying (mainly through the net, but still trying to support local shops). By the way, the first disc that i ordered more than 10 years ago was 'Universal Language' of Joe Lovano. Have not listened to this disc for the last 9 years. Peace, Eyal Adam Joshua <adamj2517@hotmail.com> wrote: Greetings, I'm up around 1200 or 1300 titles and quickly running out of shelf space. Between my books and my discs (not to mention DVDs VHS) I am near capacity. Perhaps if I hadn't spent so much $ on books and Cds I could afford some new shelves. A random calculation: I'm 25 years old and if I have 1300 cds that = 52 cds a year or 1 a week since birth. Needless to say I've been buying waaay more than 1 cd a week seeing as how I started collecting (in earnest) in 1998. Speaking of databases though I was wondering if someone could recommend a good one. Currently all my titles are catalogued in Excel, which is less than ideal. I shopped around a little on the internet but am afraid of painstaking data entry. Any help would be appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe the time has come to discuss just how BIG our CD Collections are! What on earth were we thinking about?... how much $$ was involved...how taste change...where do we go from here...etc...
