I'm confused... wasn't the Plotkin/Witte/Speedranch thing on Hydra Head called "Atomsmasher"? And is this the same group trading under a different name, perhaps because of the different approach to which you're alluding?
Good looking out. It is indeed the same group who were forced to change their name because another group (some pop band I think) had the same name and threatened legal action. I like the Phantomsmasher CD- not for the ambient folk out there but very cathartic at right moments.
