Check the LA Weekly to see who is playing at the Club Tropical Con Sabor in Culver City Thursday, October 16. The Thursday Night series hosts what Skip affectionately calls the New Creative Genuine Art Music Series. Just kidding. Vinny Golia, Nels Cline et al. play there regularly. Last week Vinny's quintet (which included the Cline twins plus Michael Vlatkovitch on trombone) brought down the house. The weekly is a good resource for the various genres in which you find yourself interested.
