IIRC, while Pierre Bachalet wasn't responsible for the entirity of the score, he did have something of a hit track from the first Emmanuelle film. Very catchy tune. Anyway, the soundtrack to *Emmanuelle* is pretty easy to find on Silva Screen. Which isn't the case (AFAIK) with the second film *Emmanuelle: Joys of A Woman* . . . a pity. Lai is marvellous. Portions of Gainsbourg's score (and his hit *Goodbye Emmanuelle*)are available on various compilations. Check out alternate versions here: soundtrackcollector.com Didn't realize that Anchor Bay had released a collectors edition box set of the first three films, thanks for the heads up Skip. BTW: Emmanuelle 4 has got to be one of the *preposterous/strangest* movies I've ever seen. Sylvia Kristel (Emmanuelle) tires of her body (!) and undergoes "extensive cosmetic surgery" re-emerging as the actress Mia Nygren. Score by Michel Magne & available on DVD (Soft Touch Video). . . . parallel to this devlopment there were some pretty fantastic soundtracks being laid down to the Black Emanuelle series, but that's a whole different story . . . The scores to Brigitte Lahaie's films are well worth seeking out as well - extremely fun stuff . . . though you'll most probably be digging deep into French Sound Libraries & compilations of said stuff. NP. Asian Massive NR. Boris Vian. Foam of the Daze. (Tam Tam) which is worth it for the annotations alone. --- skip heller <thisparadise@sbcglobal.net> wrote:
Pierre Bahelet did the first, Lai the second, Gainsbourg the third (of the orig three with Sylvia Kristel.
The DVD is available at Amoeba -- The Emmanuel Collection (a three-dvd set). Each movie has a little (20 mins or so) doc as a bonus feature as well. Nice set. That goes double for Sylvia Kristel.

I haven't seen this film since my teens - but what stays in my mind is the soundtrack. Is it not the same theme played in various styles. I thought somone like Lai did the soundtrack work. Also it's hard to find a copy of this film soundtrack or even the DVD. The sequels are around but the original soundtrack.
