I took "Improvisation: It's nature and practice in music" by Derek Bailey at my University Library. But can't find the place where Bailey interviews Zorn and this after 4 times quickly going over the book. As i'm doing an essay in which I need to talk about Zorn, can anyone who knows that book tell me where I can find that interview or if there's an "augmented" version of that book which does features Zorn's interview and that I simply don't have the right edition? Thanks for helping me out! Hi Olivier, & welcome to the list. While Steve is right about the short Zorn chapter in the Bailey book, you're right about there being several editions of the book and the first edition (which grew out of a series of interviews with, I think, some recordings of music as well, for radio) is missing this chapter (as well as several other things that I forget right now). The second edition also has a related video manifestation from which is the source for some of the added interview material. In any case, if you can't find the Zorn chapter in the copy of the book your library has, you haven't (necessarily) gone crazy.
