ok, i admit it, Feels So Good was the first jazz-oriented album i ever owned.

Miles was definitely aspiring to smooth jazz towards the end. We have to face it.
FEELS SO GOOD was a big hit when I was in junior high, and their influence on young musical minds is not to be taken lightly. Grant Geissman's guitar solo on that was the first time a great many of us heard someone other than Duane Allman or Jerry Garcia take a real extended guitar solo. And what a solo! I owned it on 8 track. Also, let us not forget George Benson's BREEZIN', which was also big around then, and, again, long solos. A great many of us in Junior High Stage Bands across the nation had our first exposure via Chuck. And where's Chuck now? KING OF THE HILL. How cool is THAT? The guy has a sense of hunor. BTW -- anybody know the Art Blakey disc with Chuck and Jarrett? Pretty burnin' that. skip h
