speaking of Jazz stores... has anyone been to the jazz&blues mart in Chicago. Supposedly it is the largest one in the country. Im heading down
I have. Was able to walk there from the Museum of Contemporary Art (which at the time was having a small Christian Marclay exhibit with a great video and some terrible sculptures). It's got an incredible selection with tons of indies and imports and a couple of rooms full of LPs. I was a bit disappointed there wasn't a larger used selection and the prices are higher than from an online source but then that's probably what keeps them in business. ----------------------------- Violinist Bauer-Lechner on Mahler: "The first thing he composed on paper at the age of six was a polka, to which he added a funeral march as an introduction."
