If you're gonna say X, I'll throw my pop hat in for XTC. There early eighties albums are great and damn near impossible to get these days.
I had heard that their records are being reissued with bonus material: Drums and Wires was reissued in 2001 and White Music is remastered now (both CDs already had extra tracks). www.deepdiscountcd.com lists a remaster of Black Sea and Go 2, both for 11.97 (no s&h). They also have a new box, Coat of Many Cupboards, which is mostly rarities, and AMG says the band may be working on their own "archival release."
actually, i think ALL the XTC albums have been remastered and are available in the UK. they're going to dribble them out domestically. however, i picked up mine through amazon.co.uk and got the spiffy mini-lp versions for several of them, and i think with shipping divided among the discs, i didn't pay more than $15 US or so. you can also get them, autographed by Colin and Andy, no less, through the XTC website. sean
