If you're into this stuff (and you *should* be, if you asked me), you might want to check out Joe Pesci as a Weegee-inspired photog in "The Public Eye" (1992)-- at least you can look at the trailer at http://videodetective.com/home.asp?x=y&SpeedTestResults=144000&PublishedID=3779&AltID=&CustomerID=97135&WM=True&Ads=True&Play=TRUE

There was a similar exhibit at the Art Alliance in Philadelphia a few years
ago. If you can get to it, go; it was amazing. Even my parents thought it
was incredible (and they are not art buffs). There is certainly more to his
photography than the gory crime scene photos. He was a master at capturing
candid human emotion and using his photographs to comment on societal
inequity.

After that recent discussion of the origin for the
name Naked City, I figured people might be interested
to know that an exhibit of Weegee's photography is
open right now until July 23 at the Ubu Gallery in
NYC.
Just noticed it so I figured I should pass the word
along.
