In most cases I would agree with you. But you obviously have not heard "Purple Onion" yet. I was not a fan of Primus and I find this to be a nice departure from the "PRIMUS" sound. It's not difficult to mistake a Claypool album for something else coming from him -that is Primus, Sausage or his solo projects- basically because he's been doing the same record over and over again. The perfect example of "repeating oneself". For me, a bad crossover of Zappa/Residents influences. Perhaps it was worth a listen until "Sailing the Seas of Cheese". Other than that...

I don't see the brilliance in that assertion, personally.
I also thought Braxton was smarter!!
