I was just wondering if anyone can recommend some cd's with great drum (set not percussion) playing that has come out in the past 5 years.

Meshuggah "Nothing". Probably the most incredible metal drumming ever committed to a recording medium. Combined with two custom-built 8-string (!) guitars this should convince a lot of non-metalheads of the genius of this band. Frankco
