Ok, Nudebruno: Son House --early stuff on Folkways, Arhoolie, later stuff on Columbia just as good ditto Skip James later work on Vanguard. The Devil Got My Woman CD even has an example of his piano playing, which for blues was pretty avant garde. And since no one else has mentioned it so far, Julius Hemphill's "The Hard Blues" is both contemporary and old school. Ken Waxman --- Nudebruno@aol.com wrote: > .
Why no mention of Son House on the old school front?
