Andrea told me during a small chat I had with her after a parkins/black/eskaellin show some 3 years ago that she used her laptop as efffect proccesor. That's not the same as using it as the main source of sounds. marcin g
The basis of Andrea Parkins's rig is a lap top and she is a very engaging artist to watch. Though granted she has keyboard midi controllers and substantial outboard gear, but the heart is the computer.
