Hi,
maybe it's a thiung for drivers but for me the joy is being in a small store, a place that attracts people i can talk to about music,
I totally agree, when I lived in nyc I would hit DMG every week. I relocated to northern newhampshire 3 years ago, the nearest borders [or anything that looks like a mall] is over an hour away, the local independent bookstore is overpriced and weak on the music selection. There are advantages and disadvantages to rural living... Anyone else living rurally on the list? When Im back in nyc I soak it all back up, kosars bialis, tonic, DMG, Other Music, Chelsea galleries, graphitti, friends & dive bars, korean supermarkets, sushi etc etc etc... Almost time for another run down. jt
hi jason maybe it's a thiung for drivers but for me the joy is being in a small store, a place that attracts people i can talk to about music, where i can get suggestions or where they get to know my taste. it becomes a social outlet; a musical equivalent of the old barbershop. for me this place is downtown music gallery,
