As I said earlier.. This is a subject too painful to talk about. NP: Dillinger Escape Plan "Miss Machine" Rich Ladew rladew@verizon.net oy veh is mir... i am literally tripping over discs oh no, another avalanche the cats are screaming, "Where can we sleep? There are no flat surfaces here!" my database is useless because i can never seem to get past entering "Cage" and since each artist or composer gets a separate entry --the reason i bought a damned computer in the first place was to catalog the broadcast and dubbed multicomposer multartist compilations on the 500 cassettes-- and the vinyl takes a 20 foot wall six levels high and the cds are all over the place, tho alphabetical, and tho i went from jewelcases to double-slims for most, but the slef space ran out [pooh to all those early-on idjits who said 'cds take up less space'] ive gone to putting them in case logic or staples storage sleeves (now case logic doubled the price to 20c each, matching staples price) and if the booklet is only a 2fold i can put the cd, traycard and booklet on one side, so i have 2 cds in 1 sleeve which still takes less than half the upright width of a jewelcase... unless of course the discs are rare or autographed or-- god and dont let me riff on the devil's digipak or dvd cases-- and so storage is cheaper this way than more shelving which anyway is out of the case because there simply IS NO MORE WALL and i still keep hearing daddy's voice, bless him, in my head- even tho hes the one who started me on this obsession- imagine, at 3 yrs old even he knew i would not hate the attention given to my newborn brother as much if his nurse gave me that little golden record which at 20 yrs old they confessed to me wasnt from her but on eof their plots and you ask how many records i have... not to mention.. oy, freud now, what my crew of friends used to do at a very young age with stax'o 45s... i think ive already said too much. love to us all, and how many discs? that's like asking how long it is. use em in good health. love to all steve k.
