On the radio this afternoon I heard a jaw-dropping archival bit where a white interviewer keeps pestering, in a condenscending way, McTell to play some "complaining songs" though McTell insists he doesn't know any. The interviewer tosses out an example that includes the n-word (twice) while McTell keeps saying things in the South are bad for all people. Anybody know the source of this exchange? The DJ barely mentioned the song titles. Thanks, Lang ----------------------------- Violinist Bauer-Lechner on Mahler: "The first thing he composed on paper at the age of six was a polka, to which he added a funeral march as an introduction."
