Based on circumstance, that would have been my guess. I've admired Guerin's work on a bunch of BYG things. Would you mind enlightening me as to what the rest of your message refers? Did he take his own life, was he another drug casualty, or something else entirely? there: I noted that there are two musicians on the disc who are not credited in the listings. One, a pianist with the initials 'BF,' I'd figured to be Bobby Few (the rest of Lacy's then-quintet is on the session), and that was confirmed by the annoucements at the end. But can anyone confirm whether the bassist with the initials 'BG' is BYG house bassman Beb Guerin? That's all I can come up with, unless Barry Guy was also lurking about.
Should be Beb Guerin. One of the best free bass player in France. He sadly shorten his life at its peak :-(.
