Well I don't envy the job of the judges. Listening to some of the tracks again, they kind of grow on you. With so many entries, this is one bear of a contest to Judge, I think. -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+rfiler=sierrawireless.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+rfiler=sierrawireless.com@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of Tasha Sent: Friday, July 02, 2004 5:11 PM To: 'The moon: beautiful. Just played them back to back - they both rock but this one is still da bom for me. -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Rory Filer Sent: Wednesday, June 30, 2004 7:39 PM To: The moon: beautiful. I'll have to relisten to my top-rated songs, but they are, not in any order: - Kostia Rapoport's mix - AltStettin Reshake - Yello Feat efdy Soul On Ice [efdy remix] - 1106 - 1197 - Timo Bohme - Yello 2004 - 1782 (probably my favorite so far) - Yello Soul on Ice - Sleep Walker mix - 2852 -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+rfiler=sierrawireless.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+rfiler=sierrawireless.com@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of Tasha Sent: Wednesday, June 30, 2004 5:09 PM To: The moon: beautiful. (Jonn) ... I found a spot where the vocals could have been mixed a little hotter, but otherwise found this one to be up there with the gigajazz mix. Loved it! Of course I am not any kind of expert,,, just happen to really like this one. It has some great suspense/surprise and syncopation. Listening to all these songs is so time consuming and tiring even... I listen to everybody's recommendations first. But I swear I will listen to every single one eventually... _______________________________________________ Yello mailing list Yello@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello _______________________________________________ Yello mailing list Yello@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello _______________________________________________ Yello mailing list Yello@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello
Must be why they are taking a month to mull them all over. Was there any specific criterea other than using provided samples in a song? I have discovered something I never heard before from this contest - German rap (I think it's German). That's kind of tough on American ears... -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Rory Filer Sent: Friday, July 02, 2004 7:25 PM To: The moon: beautiful.
