I am very sorry about my mistake. It was very late at night, and for some reason I decided that your electromail address is ferrara@c64.org. I did send your login to that address on Date: Wed, 25 Jun 2003 18:10:08 -0700, but for obvious reasons you did not receive it. Again, I am sorry. You have by now received your login. Enjoy! --gcr
Hi, Okay, I did it. Back in 1997, when I was still young... I did a remix of Yello's Sometimes. This was before I had a sampler and descent synths. I'm just uploading it. If ya like it, keep it, if not ... well... I can understand... :-) - ehr... Would any one be interested in the Yello samples I made during the years? I've had them up on the net, could still be there. But now I mean on the FTP. They don't consist of loops. You can make those yourself. These are snippets of sounds and noises and can be used as new instrument/voices in samplers or Gigasampler on PC and Reason. Or whatever tool you have. - Rene
Rene, a great remix you have made here! If you have more remixes of Yello I would be glad to hear them. Cheers Chris And by the way, I'm from Norway and began to like Yello when I heard The Race (ofcourse) and Tied Up from Essential. It went a year then I bought Baby, then Essential, Flag and Zebra and then the others followed.
Hi Chris, I haven't got more in store where I layed my hands on Yello. bathtub Swing and the Sometimes Experiment are the only two. I won't upload my Tied Up remix as it has nothing to do with Tied Up as a remix. It' just a collage of loops and sounds and snippets from other records. All done with my first synth, a record player with self build pitch control and the Tandberg 2 track tape deck. Besides... A couple of weeks ago I tried to repair the Tandberg and it ended in total frustration. it's over thirty years old and has decided to die. My Revox is still in the Repair Shop. They took it appart and can't get it to work again. Basterds. - But there's a plan or two or even three involving Yello, so just be patient and be surprised.
