Anyone still have a Batamax player?
If the player format is open/public, then anyone could pay $$$$$ for building the player. But if the format is closed, possibly encrypted, will no money help. Most people find out these problems only when they cannot anymore access their data. Too late. BTW, the file JingleBellsH.263m.mov shows ok in Linux but without audio. I may just have too old Xine player. Initial comment in xine-user list indicates that both H.263 and H.264 are supported (with open source software).
