I have been on this list since early 1997, and it has usually been a nice friendly place. There have been times when people have been offended by another person's comments, but the problem has usually been resolved quickly, and we've got back to happily talking about Yello. This must be the worst I have ever seen this list. I don't mind the occasional off-topic email, or the occasional more in-depth discussion off-topic, but I definitely do *not* want to see crass insults appearing in my inbox. I would prefer not to put on a mail filter to exclude certain people's emails, as I know everyone on this list is capable of sensible discussion without resorting to this sort of behaviour.
