RE: [Yello] P2P and the new album
It's interesting that the album is available on Kazaa before it's released. Either it's true that the record companies have put these songs out as decoys, or someone very close to the vault has grabbed the songs and distributed them. I hope it's the former and not some exec with a chip on his shoulder. As for these being decoys, I find that a little hard to believe. There's too much material posted and it sounds very good for a Kazaa download. The email earlier this week with a URL to a german site was more what I would expect for a sample. There was only a 60 second taste of The Eye - THAT's what I would call a sample. Not a complete selection of all the tracks. Plus, if the name has changed from Electric Look to The Eye, and these tracks have the old name, then whoever posted them must have had early access to them. I think this might be the real album... Not that I'm into conspiracy theories, mind you ;-o -----Original Message----- From: Shaun Turner To: Yello Mailing List xmission Sent: 21/08/03 4:16 AM Subject: [Yello] P2P and the new album For the information of everyone there's some material on kazza that sounds an awful lot like yello branded as comming from "the eye". Not sure wether it's someone cluy doing a mix, or the real deal. Personaly i'b be surprised if it's the latter, but one never knows. I dont think a tracklist has been posted anywhere, so Jonas W. if your on the list reading this here's some of the song titles mentioned. Perhaps you can clarify whats going on.
