Yes, Ralph was originally based out of San Francisco. Where their current configuration is, possibly retooled as just Cryptic Corporation is, I'm not sure. It seems that Minnesota's East Side Digital label handles most of the US reissues of The Residents. DG

am I mistaken, or wasn't Ralph Records out of San Francisco?
of course lots of Americans are even more enamored by European things, whether they are worth it or not. Most Texans are only enamored with Texan things (same thing, whether it's worth it or not). Like me. ... Texas is great! but you have to drive like FOREVER to go anywhere different than where you are!

I'm sure if you wait longer it will show up in your local independent record store. It will still end up being $20+ CD though. But no shipping. I just went ahead and ordered from the source www.motor.de. That way you can order both digipack and regular cd. The shipping is exactly the same as everywhere else. I'm just hoping if I order from them maybe they will throw in some kind of sticker or something... You never know.

I wonder why The Eye won't be released in North America. Aren't we a large numbers of fans of Yello the other side of the Atlantic??? I don't want pay twice the price for a CD bought on the net. All Yello CD / albums were available (except Motion Picture) in Canada. Mr Meier and Blank probably have no choice for doing that, I suppose that their record company decided not making Canadian or American copies of The Eye thinking that they won't sell ($$$$) a large number of CD's around here. I feel sad and angry about this. -- Paul

I'm not waiting. I ordered copies for a friend and me for $29.19 each at CD Universe. It was supposed to be available yesterday, but I notice now their web page says "backordered since November 3".

Hi Julz!
I'll do it your way. Question: I don't speak German (I'm French speaking) is there a manner on the Motor site to translate the order form in English? Thanks! Paul

I, too, thought the style (and content for that matter) was disappointing w= ith nothing new or original in the video. If this is the shape of things to= come, then in all probability I shan't be bothering with the new CD. But I= shan't be making any judgements yet about the music itself until I hear mo= re, just thought the video could have been a lot more innovative and the mu= sic..well, it didn't rattle my cage.
The quality? Well, it was no better than you expect from Real Player - c**p= as usual and always. Why oh why does the industry bother with this garbage= format? I avoid it like the plague, audio sounds like they're singing with= socks in their mouths and video..well, you make your own judgements.

PS: Doesn't look any better on broadband without the jerkiness suffered by = Shaun, thanks for your comments by the way.

in the very jumpy version I've just viewed over my dialup the clip IMO is nothing to right home about, going back a lot to the style of their 80's clips. the clip for night train also springs to mind. quite frankly it lo= oks like it was done on the cheap. I would have expected with quality clips l= ike squeeze please and to the sea from their last 2 albums they would have produced a better result - mind you night train was from one of those aforementioned albums. =
another possibility is that they may have worked out that the race 2003 i= s a better song for the public than planet dada (IMO) and not put the cash in= to that clip. The clip for that may be a better one when we get to see it. w= hen I can have a look at the planet dada clip on broadband, or get it downloaded, my view may change. I'm not sure that it will however. =
