Organism, Thanks for all the info. Very impressive! I listened to the original .aif file and the tearing sound you hear is present in the original. ogg I think is a good format and has been around quite a while but just has never quite caught on and will probably go the way of the betamax. Most everyone has heard of mp3's and now AAC files are just as popular. The Baby AAC file I put up was a 128kbs file which is equal to a 256kbs mp3 in sound quality but both have relatively the same file size. I have replaced the Baby AAC file I originally posted with one at 192kbs which should be more then enough. Check it out and let me know what all your gizmos say. http://homepage.mac.com/jonathankamm/Baby-Mackenzie.m4a , Jonathan
I'm not sure about the whole 128k ACC = 256k mp3 thing. ACC is great but it's not that good. I've read test from AudioPhile (i think) and the ACC was very close to 198 mp3. I still hate all those compressed files. They all sound like ass to me. But then I'm not like everyone else. If you ever want to hear what Yello really sounds like. (in my opinion) find a local store on this website. http://www.magnepan.com The only other speakers that come close is the Vandersteins. You will never believe you ears. Of course, if you want really good quality sound, you could buy the CD. 'Outernational' (The Billy album that 'Baby' was taken from) is being reissued at the end of the year, and there are other Boris Blank tracks on it as well. (The Associates albums 'The Affectionate Punch' (original version), and 'Wild and Lonely' are also being reissued, but there are no Boris tracks on these.)
