Yes there does seem to be a problem.
All right, boys and girls. Step 1: Save the attached file. Step 2: Go to http://uwn.granerohosting.com/bt/ and sign up. Painless, quick, free. Step 3: Start the torrent. [someone let me know if I got it right this time, yeah?] Step 4: Wait. Step 5: Enjoy while leaving the torrent running for others to enjoy. --gcr
I am missing one item here: The bittorent client software. Which one do you use?

Got it working. You HAVE to use the .torrent file that organism attached. If you try to d/l it from the web site link like I did, you will get that "File is Empty" message. ----- Original Message ----- From: "J.R. Grr. Finding a tracker that )a) allows the right kind of content, )b) isn't closed to new accounts, and )c) actually works is getting to be a real chore. That's why I was so delighted with the announcement of trackerless protocols within the new version of BT, but 5uXX0r that I am, I cannot [as was evidenced not too long ago] seem to make a trackerless torrent work. I've been seeding this BfvsDMp1 file since last night, and I don't see any outbound traffic from this machine. Are you actually seeing inbound traffic? Never had any trouble before - wish I knew what I am doing wrong! Any other tech-heads out there have any ideas? --gcr
Hi, maybe you should try the bittorrent client 4.1.2. from http:// www.bittorrent.com this version works without the need of a tracker. hth oliver Am 06.07.2005 um 17:01 schrieb organism@hydrophilus.com:

Unfortunately no, not a single byte. One client that I absolutely LOVE is Azureus http://azureus.sourceforge.net/. It has the ability to create .torrent files, and can also do hosting similar to P2P, among other features. The client does depend on Sun's Java JRE v1.5, though, and it can be rather hard on older systems with low amounts of RAM. My PIII 600MHz clunker at home handles it OK. -----=====<<<<<>>>>>=====----- J.R. from New York State, USA The Yello Pagez - http://www.geocities.com/jr_bloodsworth/yello.htm (Yea, I know.
