A couple of new (posthumous) Billy Mackenzie albums will be released soon, one of the albums includes a song with Yello. According to the web site <http://www.onelittleshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=442>: 'Billy Mackenzie: Auchtermatic [CD]. 10 track Billy MacKenzie CD of rare and unreleased electronic tracks. Includes collaborations with Apollo 440, Yello, Barry Adamson and Finitribe. Features "Norma Jean", the original version of "The Rhythm Divine" (with alternate lyrics and melody) - a song written by Billy MacKenzie and Yello for Shirley Bassey. Also features a cover of Eurythmics "Here Comes The Rain Again".' A sample of 'Norma Jean' is available at <http://www.onelittleshop.com/media/TPLP442CD_09.mp3>. Now if only Boris would release those other tracks that Billy has done with Yello... Mark P. ----------------------<http://users.tpg.com.au/mrpulley/

The Billy Rhythm Divine is also available on the Double CD compilation that came out a while ago along with Life is a Snowball tune. This is really cool version! Thanks for the news! Julian On Nov 19, 2004, at 6:10 AM, Mark Pulley wrote:

Billy Mackenzie's 'Rhythm Divine' certainly is good, but 'Norma Jean' is a *different* track to The Rhythm Divine - in the sample I downloaded, the backing music is similar, but words and melody are completely different. (I thought I should clarify that.)

I have an idea that would make sense, and be a great premus for releasing those "other" Billie tracks done with YELLO. Assemble the tracks, tweak them to the usual BORIS perfection, and release a commerative album on the anniversary of his death (whenever that is, I do not recall). What a touching way to remember and pay tribute to a great voice and character! Laurens van Graft The Grip Guy All your gymnastics grip needs right here!
