It's interesting how our preferences differ. I have just put together a list of Yello singles, ordered from what I think is the best to what is the worst. (If I was to do this another day, I'm sure some of the tracks would swap places, but the worst one is quite definite!) I have counted the 7" versions, with the exception of a couple of singles that were only released on 12". Pinball Cha Cha (single remix) (I haven't heard the 7" version, only the two 12" and New Mix versions) Desire (single remix) She's Got a Gun Let Me Cry (1983 version) Of Course I'm Lying Jungle Bill (1992 Remix) Squeeze Please Oh Yeah (note this is not at the bottom of my list). Lost Again Drive/Driven The Race (7" edit) (The album version would be higher on the list) How How Rubberbandman Tied up The Rhythm Divine Call It Love Bimbo Who's Gone? You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess (12" version) Goldrush Suite 904 I Love You On Track (Remix) Bostich (Note that I have this well below The Race) Vicious Games Planet Dada (one of my least favourite tracks on The Eye) To the Sea (Remix) (the album version would be higher on the list) Blazing Saddles Live at the Roxy I.T. Splash Do It Jingle Bells (definitely the worst Yello single ever) I'm sure you all have a different order - let's all have a look! Mark P. ----------------------<http://users.tpg.com.au/mrpulley/
---------------------- The Doctor: Nurse, could you prepare to apply the skedaddle test? Peri: Are you sure that's wise? The Doctor: I think the alternative could be much worse. ("Doctor Who: The Trial of a Time Lord Part 5")
Not a bad Compilation! I am happy to see that Desire is 'Up There", as it is in my books too. I'm sure it would be atotally different story if you were to list the 12" singles and Maxi's, (which version is better than another on the same piece of vinyl...)
