I wanted to buy THE EYE today and the seller said me that it was not available in France (I living close the German frontier) as well that the MAXI CD... It's the first time Yello is making this !!! I have to order it via the net I'm afraid... Does someone knows a serious site where I can order it (and MAXI CD too if possible) without to create an account and fill a formular with my credit card number like abella.com does ?! Thanks ahead, GREG
SWEET! Thanks, Julian! I'll just have to take your word for it about the footage rehashing, as this is only the second Yello video I've ever been able to see. I downloaded the Squeeze Please .mov video from Yello's site a while back (REALLY wish I could find a HQ copy of that one...), but that's the only other one I've ever seen. Also nice to hear something from The Eye! I'm still tryin to find a place to purchase the Digipack version from that won't rape me on shipping to the U.S., though... Seems quite similar to the 1985/86 videos that they made, relatively inexpensive on a video projection backdrop. on the other hand, I would love to know how much the of course I'm lying video cost to make ;-) Dan

in the very jumpy version I've just viewed over my dialup the clip IMO is nothing to right home about, going back a lot to the style of their 80's clips. the clip for night train also springs to mind. quite frankly it looks like it was done on the cheap. I would have expected with quality clips like squeeze please and to the sea from their last 2 albums they would have produced a better result - mind you night train was from one of those aforementioned albums. another possibility is that they may have worked out that the race 2003 is a better song for the public than planet dada (IMO) and not put the cash into that clip. The clip for that may be a better one when we get to see it. when I can have a look at the planet dada clip on broadband, or get it downloaded, my view may change. I'm not sure that it will however. After all the chatter on this list I was, well, hesitant about what to expect - female singer on half the songs? Well, I just received my digipack cd from AmazonUk today <I live in the USA>, and just finished listening to the album blind, haven't heard the single and I don't do the MP3 thing: I love it! I see it as a natural progression from the last 2 cds, with a further development on the track "To The Sea"on the tyracks with female vocals. Jade Davies sounds great, her tracks veer towards the "chill-out" feel, while Dieter's are classic Yello. Don't like the last 2 tracks much on 1st listen, however. Those of you hedging on the fence, this without question an essential addition to the Yello canon, and who cares if it isn't released in the USA? Hasn't stopped me from enjoying Yello or any other musical act I like - not with the convenience and wide reach of shopping on-line. In a word, excellent!
I, too, thought the style (and content for that matter) was disappointing with nothing new or original in the video. If this is the shape of things to come, then in all probability I shan't be bothering with the new CD. But I shan't be making any judgements yet about the music itself until I hear more, just thought the video could have been a lot more innovative and the music..well, it didn't rattle my cage. The quality? Well, it was no better than you expect from Real Player - c**p as usual and always. Why oh why does the industry bother with this garbage format? I avoid it like the plague, audio sounds like they're singing with socks in their mouths and video..well, you make your own judgements. Jabberwoc PS: Doesn't look any better on broadband without the jerkiness suffered by Shaun, thanks for your comments by the way. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shaun Turner" <sajt@tvsched.com> To: "The moon: beautiful.
