RE: [Yello] Live At The Roxy Completed
Same here. -----Original Message----- From: David Hansen [mailto:dava@dava.dk] Sent: Sunday, June 29, 2003 7:39 AM To: The moon: beautiful. The sun: even more beautiful. Subject: Re: [Yello] Live At The Roxy Completed Unless it's a problem on the FTP server, I'd go for the 100MB version. :-)
Hi all, Currently I'm uploading the Live at the Roxy file. The larger version, that is. 100Mb DivX etc... I've had some stress with my machine here (figures, I'm an idiot sometimes). Once it's uploaded, you can download. You might wonder when playing fullscreen that it has a haze and a certain unsharpness to it. This is due to the filtering I did to get rid of a very irritating noise, that made the DivX version very fluffy and cloudy. This is the best I could produce with my own legal tape and the shape Ãt's in. And take in mind that when you've never seen the original... it's bad too. Probalby due to very early videocamera's with tubes and not ccd's, like my old Philips cam... Too big, too large, too noise, too crap, but very impressive... :-) Rene
Thanks for the efforts Rene - but err... what codec did you use to encode the file? I only got black screen when playing it (sound is playing fine though). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rene" <t013463@tip.nl> To: "The moon: beautiful. Hi David, I used DivX 5.05, you can find the free codec at www.divx.com. The feature a simple decoder that works just fine. Don't download the Pro/Adware version if you're not encoding files yourself. If you're a Mac user then visit www.divx.com for the mac platform version and if it still doesn't work, go to www.3ivx.com for a patch to make the file work with Quicktime 6. I'm not using Mpeg anymore when files need to be small and reasonable good for watching. hence: DivX, the mpeg mutant that does the trick for me. Oh... Too all who downloaded the file: Please don't make it available on Kazaa or whatever. let's keep this one and the rest of our rare stuff too ourselves... the yello-fans. i'd love to download the file and have a gander. i think i have an mp3 of the live at the roxy set somewhere, but a vid would be good. i'm still waiting on my login details tho. i guess they will turn up in the mail eventualy :) one thing i did forget to do was to let people know that i have up now on my website both vertions of the squeeze please clip, www.tvsched.com/yello the smaller one seems to be the one that most have, the larger one on the other hand some people are missing. Please dont go silly on the downloads of it from there please everyone as i have a 5g cap. you need at least quicktime 4 for it. shaun -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of rene Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 8:57 PM To: David Hansen; yello@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Yello] Live At The Roxy Codec and such Hi David, I used DivX 5.05, you can find the free codec at www.divx.com. Not unless you post a request to the list for a login, specifying [if desired] your login name. I have not seen any requests from you. Now, I think it's clear that you want a login. But make the request to the list anyways, so that if you want a particular login name you may have it. Otherwise I would just pick something that perhaps would annoy or bore you. --gcr
