Jonathan, My Barco's screen is now enhanced with the very cool Y icon. ... A client just came in to hand me some cd's for print work... he saw the icon and said... Hey... you got a firewire hard disk connected? After some spanking and serious words he got informed it was the Yello logo... "Who's Yello?" He asked. "Alright.. you may leave now.. I didn't hear that..." I replied. - They still excist... I feel sorry for them...
At this point I'm the least interested in how much this has to do with Yello... I just wanted to share a sensation: While I copy 600 megs from a cd onto one of my Macs harddrives, i also import Stella into I-tunes, while listening to Zebra, and working on a 1.2 gig file that needs some touch up before I can print it... Oh my sweet mac... G4-1GHz Dual, MDDoors, 1.25 Gig of mem, Wacom tablet, Barco CID 421 and Jaguar to make it all happen. Heaven does excist, right here on my desk. Rene
Cool dude, cool... But a half machine can do every thing you are saying I'm sure... 1.25 gigas files ??? woh !!! you have a print factory in your house, or ?! Knowing a 25 megas files in 300 dpi is format A4, your's is about 250 cm X 120 CM - 950 % bigger than A4 !!! LOLLLLLL Don't see any MAC-PC war in my mail :) I think that's ridiculous to say that MAC are better than PC or the opposite... From the moment you found what you need in your machine I don't think that it is or maybe some people needs to be reliefed ?! :) Oh... For infos (only) ... I have a Pentium IV 3.0 Ghz, Hyper-threading 800 Mhz, 512 Mo DDR PC3200 Dual Channel, HD 120 Gigas Serial-ATA... Do I ever said ??? ... -----Message d'origine----- De : yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] De la part de Rene Envoyé : mardi 9 septembre 2003 14:09 À : The moon: beautiful. Hi Viale, Your Wintel is the latest on the market as it seems. The place that feeds me, is a combo of Photostudio, Digital Center and anolog Lab. The digital center, is my domain and we produce prints from the size of a stamp to ... well... endless. The file I talked about is going to be used for the front of a bulding....printerresolution 40dpi. 25x23 meters!! Aint that cool?! Oh yeah.... this mac has two cpu's (that's the dual). Rene
Ah OK !!! Er... BTW, call me Greg :) Cool for you yes Rene...! You're lucky guy dude ! What does we have to do with your infos ? Is that just commercial ? Do you have actions on those materials ? ;) Greg. -----Message d'origine----- De : yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] De la part de Rene Envoyé : mardi 9 septembre 2003 17:35 À : The moon: beautiful. Greg :0 In this case the print is used for sponsorship. Just to draw attention to a good cause, and have people see the sponsors logo's. But we do art-work to. For instance indoor-designers. Making posters that fit their idea's. About the same time when the Yello FTP was running I made a vector version of the Yello symbol and logo. My plan was to create two banners (80cm x 200cm) and use them in our demonstration room. Pure yellow and black. Way cool! The only thing is that is rather expensive, and our accountmanager, said no... bugger! Rene On Tuesday, September 9, 2003, at 06:35 PM, VIALLE Grégory wrote:
