Does anybody remember this idea being tossed about? I want to start planning a vacation to Switzerland next year. I do believe some folks on this list are nearby and qualified to make recommendations. You can email me off list if you wish... at the time I originally threw out the idea of such a convention, everybody was not very responsive due to money issues, which I imagine aren't any better these days... but I am going! I want to eat Dieter's organic beef and drink his wine at his resaurant (of which name I know but as soon as I went to type it I forgot - El Ojo del Agua? something like that) and all that stupid FAN stuff in addition to traveling the world to see a beautiful place. I am currently thinking August 2010...that gives us a year to plan, save up vacation time, and money. Thanks to those of you who have kept us posted on the mysteriously yet unrealeased new CD... and etcetera and so forth. I am still very excited to received Yello mail in my in box. Tasha from Texas, U.S.A. p.s. I guess in 2011 I'll have to go to Argentina and visit the farm and winery and polo club!
Tasha! I'm flying down to Argentina in Oct to catch part of the Depeche Mode S. American leg of the tour and was planning on hitting his wine store possibly the winery if they allow tours but I wasn't aware of a polo club? can you elaborate any info on both?Cheers! Hi Tasha, do you only go to Zurich or do you want to see more of switzerland. If there are enough Yello enthusiasts around, we would meet in Zurich, to go to some of the Yello- places (like the shop of Dieters ex-wife in the Bahnhofstraße, or the record store, where Dieter first heared Boris experimental tapes) I live in Vianna, Austria (460 miles from Zurich). So it is not too far away for me to go there for a weekend. Nevertheless I could start a reserach which addresses are of interest for Yello-fans. Ciao, Georg Am 16.07.2009 um 01:58 schrieb junk mail:

Hi Georg/Tasha, although I live in Spain, a Yello convention would be the perfect excuse for a holiday, so please keep me informed... best regards, Edward

Hi,I am interested as long as it is related to Yello music. What about a party in a Zürich disco where the DJ plays some Yello music? I live about 175mls away from Zürich, so it is rather easy for me to get there. I have been to Dieter's store before; this is nothing which really touches me. What do fans think in general about the spirit of such a gathering? Music, personality, places, history, what topics are of interest to you? Hi, I went to Zurich years ago, but as you said before, there are no real "Yello" sights there. Boris has left no footprints there. But if you are interested in Dieters art projects, there should be some signs of his "Manifestation 40" from 2008: "11 insignificant objects such as a lamp post, a drainpipe, a bridge railing etc., were gold-plated." So lets have a funny yello-fan weekend in Zurich. Better talking from face to face rather typing to a newsletter. You can count me in at the "Yello Convention 2010" Maybe our gruop will be big enough that Boris or Dieter will join us for a drink and a cigar ? That's a MUST. I'm sure we'd have no problem hooking that up if arrangements are made ahead of time... :) During my initial research, I am finding they (Zurich website) refer to 80s/90s music as "skirt" music. Maybe something is lost in the translation? ________________________________ From: Franz Gall <franz.gall@gmail.com> To: The moon: beautiful.
